Food and Grocery Return Policy

At Distribuidora e Importadora Gingko S.A., we are committed to offering quality products and ensuring customer satisfaction. Therefore, we have established the following return policy in accordance with Costa Rica’s Consumer Protection Law and its minimum provisions applicable to food and grocery items:

Return Period:

Returns of food and grocery products will be accepted only within a maximum period of 30 business days from the date of purchase or receipt of the product.

Return Conditions:

The product must be in its original condition, unopened and untampered with, except in cases where the product presents defects or damage.

Returns of perishable products that have been opened or tampered with will not be accepted, unless they present a defect or damage that compromises their quality or safety.

In the case of defective, damaged, or expired products, the customer must present proof of purchase to process the return or exchange.

Return Procedure:

The customer must notify our customer service department of their intention to return the item within the established timeframe.

An evaluation of the product will be conducted to verify the reason for the return.

If the return is approved, the customer may choose between product replacement, an exchange for another item, or a refund at the official purchase price.

Exclusions:

Returns due to a change of mind, or for products consumed or altered by the customer, are not accepted.

Products that have been tampered with or altered by the customer are not eligible for return.

Consumer Rights:

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, the customer has the right to receive products in optimal condition and to be compensated if they receive defective or damaged products.
